Survey Feedback

"We took your feedback from the last Fall survey seriously and implemented changes including bi-monthly teacher communications, online conferences, and restructuring our office. Please let us know how we're doing. We will be using this data to see if we're making progress. THANK YOU!"

We Can Change Challenge

Monday, the Seimens We Can Change Challenge announced state finalists and National Winners--this challenge was one of two challenges that explore! science students participated in during the fall and winter. The purpose of this challenge was for students to identify an environmental issue in our local community and innovate and implement a solution to help solve the problem .We are thrilled to announced that our own, Trash Treasurerz, Holly Chan, Jillian Christensen, Missica Derhalli and Emily Robinson are state finalists. This team made it to the top 11 nationally, are the sole representatives from Washington State and from the west coast. Our girls will be awarded "Green Prize Packs" and Hockinson Middle School will be awarded a banner for their work innovating removable filters for our school's storm drains. We willl be honoring these girls and their families in an assembly--the date will be determined when the prizes and banner arrive. We are very proud of their work--Congratulations, Trash Treasurerz!

NOTICE TO PARENTS

In light of recent events across the country, Hockinson School District would like to reassure families that we have safety procedures in place and conduct emergency drills on a regular basis. Administrators and staff members have a heightened awareness and are more vigilant of our surroundings. We take the safety of students and staff seriously. Please follow our district policy when visiting buildings by signing in at the school office.
